Advent Day 7 | 2024 | God With Us

Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall call his name Immanuel” (which means, God with us).

Matthew 1:23

“God with us.” Three words that turn the universe on its head. Not God above us, not God near us, or God watching us. But God with us. He didn’t just send a message or a rescue squad. He came Himself.

The infinite God wrapped Himself in the finite. The Creator entered creation. The King stepped into the dust of His kingdom. He cried real tears, walked real roads, carried real pain. The One who holds the stars became small enough to be held by a young mother in a quiet stable.

Advent is the miracle of proximity. God isn’t far away, waiting for you to reach Him. He came to you. And He didn’t just come for the moment. He is with you still—when the road is hard, when the night feels long, when your heart feels fragile. Immanuel is more than a name. It’s a promise.

Prayer

Lord, thank You for being Immanuel, God with us. Thank You for stepping into my world and staying. Help me to rest in the promise of Your presence, today and always. Amen.

Action Point

Spend some time in silence today, reflecting on the nearness of God. Speak to Him as one who is always with you.
