About Michael Teddy
I am a Christian, husband to Cinu, and father to Ethan and Yohan.
I serve as the preaching pastor at Redemption Hill Church in Trivandrum, as the council member at The Cross Purpose, and also as the Engineering Lead at Code of Duty.
Why this Blog?
I read somewhere that the key to becoming a good writer is to keep writing. And this website, is my experiment to find out if that’s true, which is the sum of my excuse for starting a blog (again), especially considering my already exasperated schedule. Moonlighting as a writer while holding a full-time job as a software engineer, while also serving as the preaching pastor at my local church, isn’t all as easy as I’d like it to be. Never mind the counselling calls, The Cross Purpose, being a husband, or a new dad. Priorities matter. There’s a lot I have to read, learn, code, plan, and organise. However, I have learnt that true productivity is all about the sequence, and the desire to glorify God in all that you do. Everything on my schedule matters, but not everything matters at the same time. I like a fully packed schedule. After all, we don’t regret not finishing something nearly as often as we regret not trying it out in the first place. At least, I don’t.
Since this isn’t my first rodeo, I’d like to start by setting everybody’s expectations, including mine. The main point of this blog is to talk about the relevance of the Gospel in our daily lives. That means, you’re going to see a lot of stuff here, ranging from your run-of-the-mill everyday life to hardcore theology, from baking cakes to discussions on substitutionary atonement, from gaming & technology to systematics. The Christian life is a life lived upon the truth of God, which means that the ‘Christianity’ of the life pervades all of life. Hence, Paul commends us, whether [we] eat or drink, or whatever [we] do, [to] do [it] all to the glory of God (1 Corinthians 10:31). Such a life gives us the theology of everything.
Also, having preached quite a few sermons over the past few years, I have a lot of orphaned material from sermons and bible studies that need a good home. Beyond that, I expect much of this blog to be a spill over of God’s amazing work in my family which includes my beautiful wife, Cinu with whom I’ve been married 6 years and counting, and also our babies Ethan and Yohan. God is good.
