Advent Day 20 | 2024 | The God who Heals
Welcome to Advent—a season of fierce grace and unyielding joy. Stop. Breathe it in. The King has come, triumphing over the grave and reigning on high. Together, let’s follow the trail of His glory, stepping into the story of the Child who broke the back of darkness and carried the weary to freedom. May these devotions be a lantern for your path and a spark for your wonder.
The world is a place of deep wounds. Disease, broken relationships, and the scars of sin touch every life. But Advent declares hope – the God who came to dwell with us is also the God who heals us. His healing isn’t temporary relief—it’s a complete restoration.
Jesus didn’t just bring healing; He is healing. The blind saw, the lame walked, and the brokenhearted found hope in His presence. And on the cross, He bore the ultimate wound to bring the ultimate healing. One day, all pain will end, and every tear will be wiped away.
Advent reminds us to hold onto that hope. While we may not see all healing now, we can trust in the promise that it is coming. The Sun of Righteousness has risen, and His light brings restoration.
Prayer
Lord, You are the God who heals. Thank You for bringing restoration through Christ. Teach me to trust Your timing and to cling to the hope of full healing in You. Amen.
Action Point
Pray for someone in your life who is hurting. Reach out to encourage them and remind them of the hope we have in Christ.
